ANDREA BELLA

ANDREA BELLA

The owner and the founder of the “Andrea Bella Concept” studio is the architect Andrea Bella who graduated from the Department of Architecture and Design at the Polytechnic University of Turin.

“My professional experience has over 20 years of work and research.

I have always cultivated a natural passion for drawing and, over time, I have learned to love the art of design, constantly putting fervid creativity, great attention to detail and a particular responsibility at the service of my customers and this makes each project “my project”.

I founded my studio, after working for a few years as an associate at “CBS Architetti Associati” and as a teaching assistant at the Department of Architecture in Turin, at the seat of Mondovi.

From the beginning, the interest in the creation and production of exclusively solutions, both in the architectural and design field, have stimulated the realization of interventions and the creation of objects published and recognized by the press and by critics of the international sector. Many of my works are published both in magazines and books dedicated to specific themes of design and architecture.

In 2012 I exhibited some objects including the FLO table and the AB312 wooden seat inside the Venice Biennale.

In the following years, I won several awards in international competitions in the field of interior design, including IAA 2015 (International Architecture Award) and DAF 2016 (Delhi Architecture Festival).

I prefer the research of the uniqueness of each project intended as a specific and targeted realization of the desires and ideas of each customer.

I have marked sensitivity towards the psychological aspects that define daily existence and that, for me, represent the spark of every inspiration.

My interest is manifested by the continuous search for dialogue and confrontation with my customer so that my work can give form to his/her needs, expectations and fantasies through a targeted and nonarbitrary interpretation.

During this incessant creative process of dialogue and mediation, I constantly pursue the search for solutions inspired by an antithetical combination that I call “minimal warm”.

The concept of minimal is very often indissolubly linked to a cold and not very welcoming appearance.

Therefore, my goal is to shape the inspiration to achieve the balance between a minimal and essential compositional aspect and a message capable of instilling an essential feeling of welcome and warmth.

My work extends well beyond the scope of design.

I personally follow, with the help of my collaborators, in the workshop as in the construction site, the development and realization of the objects and the works planned until the complete achievement of the goal that ends with the delivery.

For me, designing means anticipating new habits, helping to create new atmospheres, suggesting new sensations and emotions inspired by the universal concept of “beauty” as an extinguishable resource for life.

I try to achieve this goal by studying and proposing a new relationship between the definition of the spaces and the functions contained in them, a relationship that is sometimes unusual, daring, provocative, but never neglecting the aspects of ergonomics and practicality.

My studio is organized to present itself to the customer as the single interlocutor during the design and construction supervision phase, relieving my interlocutor of heavy tasks such as, for example, comparison with the various professionals and workers involved in the realization of a work”.
