HOME ITALIA AT “SALONE DEL MOBILE MILANO” 2019

The “Salone del Mobile.Milano”, the most important fair in the furniture sector and a point of reference for companies, investors and designers from all over the world, has just ended. The numbers of the 58° edition represent a very positive result, both in terms of turnout and quality of commercial relations, confirming the attractive force and the great involvement capability to the event. The 386.236 attendances from 181 countries show an increase of +12% compared to the 2017 edition, which proposed the Euroluce biennial and the Workplace 3.0 exhibition. In addition, the presence of HOME Italia, at the Fair as well as at the “Fuorisalone”, is a clear demonstration of how our exclusive club is becoming bigger and bigger and international. HOME Italia journalists, photographers, and cameramen drove by CEO and the manager Luca Valle, visited the stands of the partner companies, interviewing prominent personalities and photographing the newness showed for the first time to the public. The team, with particular attention to the latest trends and market trends, has collected ideas and suggestions, that we will share with our readers through the magazine, the website and our constantly updated social media channels. HOME Italia, like every year, has also distinguished itself in the city, creating an event at the Solferino 40, in the Brera area. The installation designed by the architect Maurizio Lai, DeCostructed, a deconstructed domestic landscape in which objects and furniture of different inspirations and functions have lived together in perfect harmony, was shown. An “absurd” but welcoming place to live, conceived by Lai as a tribute to the original thought, which deviates from traditional aesthetic standards. “Within the open space – said Lai – we wanted to create a relationship between companies that offer different products, trying to combine them respecting the DNA of each one. “Corners” have been created that interact with each other like in a domestic space, in which objects and furniture are stratified over time”.

DeConstructed acted as a backdrop for the party on the Thursday 11 April, where hundreds of people were registered, including enthusiasts, professionals and company captains, and were hosted the lesson of Carlo Colombo, who illustrated to his architect colleagues some of his most important projects.

At the end of the Design Week the President of the “Salone del Mobile”, Claudio Luti said words that we at HOME Italia share and feel very close: “We have invested in quality and we have shown once again our desire to do better, working closely with designers, artisans, communication and culture operators to continue to produce product and process innovation and to “tell stories” that increase the value of the design object. The result is that we have sold, but above all that everyone has perceived our enthusiasm, our ability to create a system and to go beyond mere business to offer a global experience, in which what matters are ideas”.

We have many ideas, continue to follow us to discover the future developments of our club!
