THE ‘GARDEN HOUSE’ IN CANA – TUSCANY
The secret retreat of the Florentine architect Daniele Bedini & the artist Silvano Bavia
Daniele Bedini has designed a ‘micro-house’ in a volume of just 24 sqm, split in two levels. On the ground floor the kitchen and the stairway to go up. First floor is dedicated to the master bedroom and the bathroom. Outside, a large terrace, the ‘summer living area’.
The style is ‘Industrial-chic’, with bespoke furniture in raw painted wood, iron, resin for the floors, porcelain for the kitchen and outdoor floor, and re-cycled wood for both shelves in the kitchen and bedroom. Main colours are played on white, black, dove grey (in its shades) and ultramarine blue (almost a blue Klein). Even if ‘micro’ the home is confortable and accessorized by all the necessary appliances and functional elements. A beautiful garden completes the house, with a corner for a small pool. The view is superb: all the Grosseto coast and the sea; in the back Elba island and Corse.
