PALAZZINA OSTUNI
Renovation and furnishing project by Gian Paolo Guerra of Studio Guerra sas (interior design & home shopping) of a nineteenth-century building in the center of Ostuni (BR) … interior design work (design/renovation) and consulting, together with the project light and color and the exterior restyling, involved a total area of about 230 square meters distributed over three levels … garage/dwelling/terrace.
A saber layout based mainly on respect for the popular architecture of the time and the contextualization … “chianche” in “Bronzetto di Trani” as flooring, lime on the walls, resined micro cement as a wall covering for bathrooms and kitchens, iron for the staircase and stone (Roccato of Ostuni of the “stonacate” vaults).
A neutral color palette in contrast with the only color used …. blue in various shades (avion/cyan/turquoise).
The living area includes a conversation corner (Musa sofa, Gervasoni tables, and Anna Lari lamps), a dining room (Marchetti Maison table and Vitra chairs), a separate kitchenette (Essebi kitchen and Ingo Maurer lamp) and a study (Scandola wardrobe, engravings eighteenth century and ceramics CNF Grottaglie).
The “Rhinoceros” paintings are by Giampaolo Addari, the radiators are the Tesi 5 by Irsap, the nineteenth-century torch-stands by La Mercanteria (Ostuni) and the windows are the Prolux Evolution by Oknoplast.
The sleeping area includes a large bedroom with a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom (Ethods bed, Gervasoni chairs, Anna Lari lamps, Marchetti Maison bedside tables, Moab 80 dressers, a sculpture by Jao Aguiar and a painting with ceramics by Giampaolo Addari). In the bathroom, bathroom fixtures are by Ceramica Flaminia, the taps are by Mariani, the shower enclosure by Duka and the mirror designed by Citterio for Pozzi Ginori (courtesy line Essentia Puglia).
At the terrace level of about 80 square meters, there are two other rooms …. a kitchen (Essebi and CNF Grottaglie ceramics) with courtesy bathroom (Ceramica Flaminia) and a single room for guests (furniture on Scandola customization) always with private bathroom (Ceramica Flaminia).
On the terrace, the iron furniture of the Arc en Ciel line by Emu and the outdoor Ghost upholstery by Gervasoni are the masters.
