The Architect Carlo Colombo is inside HOME Italia
HOME Italia is pleased to announce the entrance to the Club of Carlo Colombo, one of the most important architects and designers of the contemporary panorama. We are particularly happy with this new entry, which gives prestige and visibility to our project. Carlo Colombo started to design products for the best Made in Italy brands right away. His furniture and complements belong to the catalogue of important brands, including Antoniolupi, Artemide, Bentley Home, Bugatti Home, Cappellini, Flou, Flexform, Franke, Giorgetti, Guzzini, Penta, Poliform and Trussardi Casa. In addition to designing products and furniture, Colombo also deals with strategy and marketing for companies, develops graphic projects and exhibits care, works as a consultant and Art Director. A polyedric personality and a prominent architect, Carlo Colombo has been awarded important international awards. In 2004 he was awarded the designer of the Year; In 2009 he won an international competition for the design of the two multifunctional towers in Abu Dhabi and from 2011 teaches design at the De Tao Masters Academy in Beijing, China. He receives many other prizes all over the world, including the Elle Decor International Design Award in 2005, 2008, 2010, 2010, 2011, the Good Design award of the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and the Chicago Athenaeumin in 2009, 2012 and 2014 and 2016 wins the Red Dot design Award, the Interior Innovation Award and the IF Design award with Teuco. In 2017 Switzerland was rewarded by the Italian consul with the title of Knight of the Order of Merit for the work. Also in 2017 he won the International Design Award in Los Angeles with the armchair sculpture “784 ” and was included in the volume “100 Italian Excellencies “. In 2018 he received the APDC * IDA-Excellence Design Awards. Today the studio deals with large scale projects all over the world, from design to interior to architecture. In the December Issue of the magazine HOME Italia will present a residential project in Milan by Carlo Colombo.
