HOME Italia inside and outside the Salone

NEWS

An extremely positive result for the 57th edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, both in terms of attendance and in terms of the quality of trade relations. 434,509 attendees in 6 days from 188 different countries, made for a 17% increase compared to the 2016 edition – which last featured the biennial kitchen and bathroom exhibitions – and an increase of 26% compared with the 2017 edition.

This edition has shown, yet again, that the Salone del Mobile is not just an exhibition but, especially, a demonstration of how business culture andteam work within a sector, along with its creative and productive fabric, can be drivers of excellence.

“We are extremely proud of the success of this event and of the level of professionals who have come to this edition, proving that the Salone del Mobile is a global benchmark. A unique event, in which business and culture become the virtual model for an Italy that functions, where the industrial system and the institutions are working in sync towards a common goal”, said President of the Salone del Mobile Claudio Luti.

HOME Italia had the opportunity to meet and interview all the companies of the wood-furnishing sector that are part of its exclusive club.

“The Order of Colors” is the chromatic path conceived by the partnership between HOME Italia and designer Matteo Bianchi of London. The installation was open to the public from 17th to 22nd of April in the headquarters of the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservators of the Province of Milan, in the heart of the Brera District, in via Solferino no. 17.

This exhibition highlighted the distinctive character of HOME Italia which – thanks to the collaboration with an international designer – wanted to combine inspiration and creativity. Thanks to the colours, the exhibitors expressed their values and identities. In fact, each brand has been assigned a colour with the choice between white, black, silver, red, blue, green, violet, yellow and brown.

Elegance, creativity and freshness – in line with the philosophy of Matteo Bianchi Studio – emerged from this exclusive installation, where the exhibiting companies – by means of a stimulating synergy – have made visitors touch by hand the quality of their products proudly Made in Italy.
