The opening to the East of HOME Italia and its commitment to spreading the culture of Italian design and planning in China took shape last 22nd and 23rd August during the first workshop organized in collaboration with Asian partners.
The first graduate class, organized by GXS (International Design Institut – international and domestic academic authorities, industry celebrities, experts and scholars) together with HOME Italia was held in the International Hall of the Intercontinental hotel of Hangzhou. More than 300 designers from all over the country gathered together for a two-day and one-night course on architecture/interior/soft design /art area. The seminar included four keynote speeches, a design night talk, and a design talk, and how designers move to the international design stage through HOME Italia in the future. Senior designers and aesthetician – Rongzhi Lu, Ziyu Zhuang, Weimin Li, and T.K Chu – taking turns to provide students with rich design reflections based on personal observation and practical experience.
Therefore, TK HOME , JZ CASA and Design YRD, work together to set up GXS International Design Institute. TK Chu will serve as honorary President, sharing the design experiences more than 30 years and also excellent works, will also invite the famous designer from all over the world to boost good professional growth of the young designers, in order to promote the development of design industry.
