HOME ITALIA AT KIFF 2018

The Ukrainian trade fair dedicated to furniture, furnishing accessories, coverings, lighting and everything that has to do with home and design is the biggest event about the interiors industry in Ukraine. Over 300 companies from 11 countries and over 25,700 visitors attended the 2018 edition of the fair last March.

The main intellectual platform and design hub of KIFF 2018 was UTU – Urban Tech Ukraine, an innovative lecture area, organised with PRIMA INTERIOR magazine and architect Nataliia Oleksiienko. During the four days of the fair, UTU hosted numerous workshops by Ukrainian and foreign designers, among which Cees Donkers, Stefano Adriani, Nicola Ticozzi and Matteo Bianchi.

Among the most interesting sections of the fair, The Italian Exposition of KIFF reflected the elegant and refined lifestyle of the Belpaese, a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere where the Italian furnitre makers presented their new products.

HOME Italia participated as media partner with a dedicated stand where magazines were distributed and interior designers, companies and international customers were introduced to the exclusive club for the Italian furniture lovers.

The Managing Director Luca Valle attended the fair in person to create new connections and strengthen the existing partnerships. Valle, together with architect Simone Micheli and interior designer Matteo Bianchi – two of the professionals who already belong to the HOME Italia club – were part of the jury for the INTERIUM International Interior Awards, the most large-scale and prestigious prize in the field of Ukrainian design.

The trio was in charge of choosing the best three “Interiors made with Italian products only”.
The winning projects were “Apartment in Kiev” by YoDezeen Studio, “VV88” by Rogoza Tatiana and “Apartments in Rouen” by Grinevich Dmitry & Lychko Tatyana. These projects will be published in the next issues of HOME Italia magazine.

The next appointment is in March 2019 at the International Exhibition Center (IEC) in Kiev.
