Founded in Florence in 1988 by Laura Andreini, Marco Casamonti and Giovanni Polazzi, Archea Associati is today a renowned architectural and design practice with more than 80 architects operating in Florence, Rome and Milan. The founding partners were joined in 1999 by Silvia Fabi, who coordinates the design activities of the studio. Supported by partner design firms located in Beijing, Dubai and Sao Paulo, Archea has so far completed architectural, interior, product and graphic design works all over the world.

Even if the focus is on architecture, the firm also directs and publishes the international magazine Area, organises exhibitions and carries out applied research at the Universities of Florence and Genoa.

Among Archea Associati’s main works: the Public Library in Nembro (Italy), the renovation of the Perfetti Van Melle factory in Lainate (Italy), the Antinori Winery in San Casciano Val di Pesa (Italy), the Yanqing Expo Grape near Beijing (China), the Li Ling World Ceramic Art City (China), the Colle Loreto residential complex in Lugano (Switzerland), the renovation of former Magazzino Vini in Trieste (Italy). Under construction are the Forevregreen Tower and the Albanian National Stadium both in Tirana (Albania) and the Changri-La Winery in Penglai (China).
